STUDENT SUBMISSION INFORMATION
For those students interested in submitting a fiction or documentary piece to the Northern Arizona Student Film Festival, please see the information below.
Submission Deadline: Friday, April 25th by 5:00pm
Where: School of Communication Student Media Center, Orpheum Submission Box
Needed: Flash drive of film (.mov format) and completed Release Form (below)
Submission Rules and Regulations:
a. Submissions will only be accepted from NAU School of Communication students, you do NOT need to be an EMF major or minor to participate.
b. All films must have been filmed within the academic year (Fall 2013-Spring 2014), preferably as an assignment or final project for a class, UTV62, or NAZ Today.
c. All submissions need to be turned in by 5:00pm on Friday, April 25th.
d. Files need to be turned in as .mov files on a flash drive with a contact name, email, and phone number to the Orpheum Submission box in the Student Media Center on the first floor of the Communication building. Be sure to include a STILL IMAGE taken from a scene in your film (.jpg file).
e. With each submission, a release form will need to be filled out and signed to release the use of the film for the festival and to be aired on campus channel 62 (UTV62) following the festival.
f. All films need to have a recognition in the credits as follows:
Your Name
NAU School of Communication
(Professor’s Name)
Fall 2013 or Spring 2014
All films submitted will be reviewed and chosen by a student committee. A notice will be sent out to those films selected for the festival informing them of their acceptance, asking them for the names of two persons (cast or crew only) that will receive free submission to the festival.
At the end of the festival, the audience will choose from the films shown to win the grand prize ...
